Ah, my new (old) violin has arrived from NJ. It has 1 crack, needs new strings and the sound-post will require setting, but it should be in order by next week.

I'm not entirely sure -- no tag. Best guess says 40-50 years, but from the look of the inside it could be more. My strings will not arrive until the middle of next week, so I can't really tell you what it sounds like yet. I put the soundpost in the other day, but it probably needs to be adjusted. I have better info by Labour day. :) Grace and Peace...

How old is it? The older and more played they are the better they sound.
