"Illegal" immigration?

BNI meeting went well this morning. Tonight I'll be heading N. to Roswell -- training in Dunwoody tomorrow and Friday.

My latest Constitution Party newsletter is on the subject of immigration. The basic premise is that illegal aliens are taking jobs that SHOULD belong to US citizens, thereby intensifying the current job crisis. I must confess I disagree. While immigration IS most certainly wreaking havoc with our economics, especially in the southern states -- FL, TX, CA, and to a lesser extent, GA, the problem is NOT that we have foreigners seeking refuge in our land. The problem(s) is (are) that we provide them with free healthcare, their children consume massive amounts of resources through our Public education system, and many of them even receive governmental subsidies through various welfare programs. Additionally, businesses are not allowed to hire at true free market rates due to Minimum Wage laws, and so there just aren't enough positions to go around.

Remove the enormous, incomprehensively inhibitive amounts of red tape, paperwork, and regulatory expenses small business owners must plow through in order to hire ANYONE, including US Citizens, and you will immediately enable the creation of thousands of paying positions while intrinsically strengthening what is recognized by all good economists to be the greatest pillar of our economic structure: the Small Business Community.

The Bible, ultimately, should be our final authoritative source for the establishment and management of government and policy. It tells us that when we are a blessed nation, the alien will work our vineyards and fields. The unpleasant tasks necessary for the running of a country! Why, oh why, would we seek to prohibit or limit this? Meanwhile we tell our children to take out a loan and pay it off as soon as possible to achieve a good, "Credit Rating." We have become a nation that calls blessings, curses, and curses, blessings. God have mercy on us...

Being from an agricultural area we have a large amount of folks from Mexico. They do most of the hard labor in the fields and make it possible to get much of the work done. I do agree that the government must stop giving them free handouts at our own expense.
