Greetings, one and all.
I have been remiss in the management of my blog, in part due to the hectic rapidity with which various events have transpired during the past few weeks. One week ago, Mr. Michael Morton gave me the hand of his beautiful daughter Katherine. She is sweet, precious, compassionate, lovely beyond measure, serves her family faithfully, loves the Lord with all of her heart, soul and mind, and I have never heard her say a harsh word. I am altogether unworthy of her, but shall endeavour by the grace of our Lord to love, serve, and cherish her as Christ loved his church, giving himself up for her, to make her holy, cleansing her with the washing of the water of the word. This high calling is one to which I am incapable of aspiring in my own strength; rather, it is in my weakness that our dear Lord may manifest Himself, doing through me what I clearly cannot do myself, that all glory and honour might be His and His alone. God grant that it may be so.
To thee, my darling Kate, my humble thanks for thy willingness to join this simple traveler in his journeys. All that I am and have are yours for the duration of our earthly sojourn. May we ever give glory and honour to our blessed Lord together. Shalom...

This last Friday, Manny Edwards and his clan were so kind as to visit us for a few days, helping us get our lighting/set/SOP's in order for the Movie Show.

Alas, I am not my good friend Wesley Morton (our autodidactic musical extraordinaire), but we were there, so was the piano, and I was bored. What can I say? LOL...

2nd annual San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival

On Saturday, October 22nd, the Smith clan, plus Arthur and Ivis Lummus, left Georgia for the 2nd annual San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. We had a lovely trip, rendezvouing with the Mortons at my Mother's cousin's house in Lake Charles, LA. While we were in San Antonio, we were hosted by the gracious and hospitable Turack family, 30 minutes south of town. The Mortons stayed in a guest house behind the Turack's church, about 4 minutes down the road. Also attending the festival were the Zwoneitzers, Vawsers, Campanas, and a great many other old friends.

One of the days Dad and I were attending the Film Academy, the girls visited the Alamo with the Mortons and Turacks. They also ran into the Vawsers while they were there.

On Thursday, the Turacks took us to some property on the San Antonio river back behind their church. Nice place.

Arrangements were made for the Morton clan to join us.
